Course-correcting a major International Airport

Over the course of approx. 4.5 years, Elena delivered and supported with effective change management a range of strategic initiatives including elevating the internal role of the utilities business, trouble-shooting underperforming programs, and the development of investment cases, the sustainability framework and infrastructure components of the 2018 master plan.

(2016-17) Developed the overall sustainability framework for the 2018 Master Plan and, on behalf of the Infrastructure team, delivered the respective component of the plan.

(2017) Identified R&D and grant funds available for Satellite Terminal, new landmark development of significant long-term strategic value.

(2017) The ESD Strategy in place to inform and guide all development, procurement and operations of the airport group (2 airports) appeared to have no effect over the 4-5 years since its development. Elena conducted a diagnostic identifying the underlying structural, engagement, and integration issues and proposed an effective revision, resulting in a stronger ESD strategy.
